First, let me just say the guy on my left has no relationship to me whatsoever, other than we are associate RA's. This upcoming week is "missionary week" in the dorms. We have 24 different missions and paired up a girl with a guy RA. Someone decided it would be creative in the "mission call" letters to include a picture of the mission president and his "wife". So they did "couple pictures" today in class. As you can see, the hieght difference is awkward enough, but then they were trying to get us to do some silly pose like others either picking me up etc. Considering I really don't know this guy (though I should since we've been in RA class all semester), I was just fine with standing beside him. For missionary week we encourage the residents to live mission rules: no contact with opposite gender, in bed by 10:30 and up by 6:30, church music, and we're really pushing the guys to not play any video games for the week. They're allowed to choose which rules to follow. RA's are supposed to be the example...but due to exterior pressures, I may give in and not follow the "no contact with the opposite gender" rule as that will be the first week Mark is here. Hehe. I think it'd be funny to try but I doubt I'd last. And what a wasted week! Anyways, I'm on the committee for this event so it's been rather busy planning stuff and this weekend we're stuffing 700 envelopes with "mission calls" to distrubute Monday.
The picture of Cosmo is just one of the reasons why I love my job! Awesome ins! We had a dance-off activity between the RA's of each hall (I videotaped instead of participating) and they had Cosmo show up as one of the guest judges. Had I not been taking the picture, I totally could have high-fived him. Oh well. If there was no other reason to go to BYU, Cosmo would be good enough. What other college mascot can break dance at football games and is all out pretty much the most gangster cougar around?!
