So for those that may never get a guided tour, here's our temporary abode until the end of July.
Knife set, door that leads to a mini shared patio area. And yes, I already decked the fridge out in pictures of my nieces and nephews.
Our "walk-in" pantry. Just to the left is actually the stairs to go up so we have a pretty long (but short) storage room under there.
Our kitchen colors are red and black so I convinced Mark to buy me a clock. (So I could watch the time and have dinner ready the minute he walked into the door of course!)
Looking into the living room from the kitchen. I got Mark that painting and framed it for Christmas. It's Greg Olsen's "Oh Jerusalem", also Mark's favorite painting. In the corner, from Melissa, my "Families are Forever" placard.
Our "cozy" bathroom. Yes we know the colors are already clashing. Thanks for the shower curtain Shelene! How I will live in there with all my stuff and tiny cabinets should be interesting. Any suggestions?
Our bedroom. I ALMOST set up the lamp by myself. It was a lame design so when Mark got home one night, he found it laying the middle of the floor in a few pieces but all connected by a cord that wouldn't give. (The directions said just pull it from the bottom to tighten the slack....NOT as easy as it sounds).
Our AWESOME bed. Not that we're sleeping on it together currently, but we did check it out before we bought it and once we got it home and set up. We by accident got one of those mattress pads that is for sunken in beds so its doubly padded. That bear is holding my spot so Mark doesn't take over the whole bed before June. It's actually the bear he gave me the 1st Christmas we were an....item.
There's not a whole lot that we "love" about this apartment other than it's our first place. However, it is nice because only about half the walls are cinder block. So we are actually able and allowed to hang pictures and put stuff on the walls. (The downside as we learned is they don't come in and paint very often.) We're looking forward to finally sharing it full time (not just me during the day and him at night) and eventually finding a more permanent residence.
