January: Disneyland
Remember back in May when I got to go to a taping of Ellen DeGeneres? We finally used those tickets. Out of the 2 1/2 days I was at the park, Monday was definitely my favorite because we got to spend the day together with my sister, her husband and kids, my aunt and 2 cousins. Definitely made me miss the "good ol' days"....and warm weather! To go from 35 degrees to 70 is quite a jump!
February: Valentines Day
Mark got me tulips...I kind of have this unspoken expectation that he pretty much only ever buys me tulips if he's going to get me flowers. They're just so pretty. And these were no exception. Notice the snow out our window? That layer had been there since Christmas. It's been a long winter....
I decided to do something "mushy" to make up for the boring movie tickets I bought Mark. I filled a jar full of kisses and other yummy peanut butter candies. I folded up pieces of paper with reasons why I love him on them and spread them out in the jar. For the next week I got to enjoy watching him come home, eat a candy, read a note and smile. I'm thinking this might be my first own pinterest pin. =)
February 26th
Mark took a day off of work and we went on a mini adventure. We finally rode the trax line that runs from Provo to downtown Salt Lake. This is us posing with the "art" that is at the Provo Station. Kind of looks like Word's clip art gone wrong. This is the first thing people see when they arrive at the Provo trax station....awesome! We had a yummy lunch at Red Rock Brewery, walked around The Gateway Mall and then headed back to Provo.
Notice the bits of snow on the tracks. It was super cold and windy that day..hence we look like we're freezing.
March 22nd
We both desperately needed a break from work, school, and life after February/March events. So I surprised Mark and booked a super nice room at a Hampton Inn in Park City. Park City is about 50 miles east of where we live nestled in the mountains. Of course that weekend, Provo got a sudden freezing spell and it snowed a few inches in a matter of minutes Friday morning. As a result, Park City was snowy and freezing (teens-20's). Having never been to Park City it was fun to see the cute little town and see the Olympic Oval Museum they have. Sadly you have to come back in the summer months to see the skiers practice in the cool pool.

March 27th: Easter
We booked Mark a flight to California Easter weekend. Although holidays are always a little lonely without your spouse, we figured this one wasn't as big mainly because without children, Easter isn't that important for us to be together for really. To make up for him being gone, Mark came home from work and locked me out of the bedroom. 20 minutes later he manages to coax me to go get something from the bedroom where I find a trail of Easter eggs hidden about the bedroom and a bucket of candy and treats on the bed for me.
Yes those are our ducks congregating towards their chocolate ancestors (chocolate bunny). I waited until Thursday when Mark was leaving to sneak a few peanut butter eggs into his bag. I also took some of the plastic eggs and filled them with loose M &M's and one with spare change I had for a nostalgic childhood moment. Thankfully, TSA doesn't mind Easter Eggs in carry on luggage!
Wednesday March 27th
Part of my Easter basket was an egg-coloring kit. So we went over to Mark's sister's house and colored eggs with his brother and sister.
Ryan was very excited that his HomeStar Runner egg turned out!
Mark...looking very tired waiting for his egg to get the right amount of color to it.

The final products.....
These last 3 months have been quite adventurous to say the least. I'm just hoping for a much more calm transition into summer!
