I pushed off doing holiday pictures because I didn't want to add one more thing to the craziness. Instead, I thought I'd push it off until Valentines day and send out cards- extra fun since that's Jack's birthday. So instead of being stressed with the holiday season here's how it went:
We were going to do pictures Monday and Mark was going to take the day off from work. Thursday before that Jack started with another bout of....diaper issues that lasted until about Tuesday. So we rescheduled for Thursday afternoon.Tuesday night Mark got the flu (because getting the flu 4 weeks earlier isn't enough) and was in bed unable to get up until Friday. So Thursday I called and rescheduled for Friday. They were already booked on Saturday and Mark was leaving to go out of town that next Monday. Had I known the quick turn around I would get for our cards I wouldn't have stressed. I just didn't want people to get Valentines Day cards on February 15th.
So off we went Friday evening, dressed up in outfits I threw together quite haphazardly hoping they wouldn't clash. Even by Friday Mark still wasn't feeling well. I had to drive and he tried to keep Jack happy while trying not to be sick simultaneously. The photographer was great. Jack didn't care for her energy and the evening hours didn't really help either. In between some shots Mark had to go step outside for some cool air when he felt nauseous. This actually worked out great because that's how we got my favorite "mommy and me" shot and some of the others and didn't feel like we lost any of our 30 minute slot.
So there you go. Enjoy the collage of great ones, mishaps, and a few that may be possibly submitted to "awkward family photos".

I think they all turned out awesome! No clue that Dad doesn't feel well, either. (A good faker?) Can't believe how big that baby is getting! What a little doll-man!
