As long as we live in student housing, Mark's birthday will always be coupled with check-ins and RA training...perhaps the busiest and most exhausting time of the year for me. This year was no exception with being pregnant. I was at least wise enough to know I wouldn't have time to make the kid a birthday cake. So I bought him a yummy ice cream cake and surprised him with it.
I decorated the house a little with streamers and even made mark wear an "It's my birthday" pin. His mom and siblings came over for cake and my parents came as well. Thank goodness because we STILL have leftover ice cream cake.
